Nike Arizona Soccer Academy – Embry Riddle

Offers a unique program of instruction that develops each camper’s skills and tactical awareness. This program was founded by the head coaches at UCLA and UCSB in 1973 and is held on the campus of Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, in Prescott, AZ. The Soccer Academy has been training youth players for 46 years in Arizona and Southern California. The Arizona Soccer Camp offers a variety of sessions to challenge players. Campers are grouped by age and ability, under the supervision of our professional staff. With twice-a-day technical training, campers also participate in scrimmages each evening to integrate their newly learned skills into real game situations.

    Coach Wade played professionally for over 15 years and has been on our camp staff for the last 17 summers. He has played outdoor soccer professionally and competed in the Major Indoor Soccer League with the with the Kansas City Comets.

     

  • CAMP DIRECTOR    HORMOZ TABRIZI

    Coach Tabrizi has been a senior staff coach at The Soccer Academy for over twenty years and is the camp director at the Cate School. In his playing career, he was named to the Iranian Junior National Team.

  • Embry Riddle Aeronautical University 2022 Covid-19 facility mandates
    • Strongly encourage all participants to get vaccinated prior to arriving to camp.
    • Everyone should wear face masks whenever they are inside ERAU buildings or aircraft.
    • All participants are to complete a Covid test with negative results prior to attending camp (72 hours prior for PCR or within 24 hours for rapid or at home tests).

CAMP INFO:

This program is geared towards Player Development & High-Performance campers. Players will work on mastering the proper fundamentals, techniques and advancing their overall skills and knowledge of the game. A great opportunity for players to learn through a mix of drills, games, and competitive play. With a number of different camp options for all to enjoy!

SKILL LEVELS

Player Development is for campers ages 11 and under of all skill levels. These camps are designed to maximize player participation and ensure each camper develops in all aspects of the game in a fun and engaging environment. Coaches will implement a wide range of technical, physical, and tactical activities with a focus on fun so campers get to improve with a smile on their faces.
High Performance is for campers ages 12+ looking to improve their game in a fun and fast-paced environment. These camps are designed so players leave the camp week more prepared for their club and high school seasons. Experienced coaches will provide campers with a fresh perspective and challenge them to develop technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of their game through a progressive curriculum.

*NOTE: If you believe your camper should be in a different skill level than the age requirement listed, please add a note at check-out and mention it to the camp director on day 1.

HOUSING

  • Number of Campers Per Room: 2-3 campers per room. 7 campers per suite
  • Roommates: Rooms are assigned by age & roommate requests. Roommate requests must be mutual, If you don’t have a roommate request, you will be placed in a room with someone near your age. It will be a great opportunity to meet someone new!
  • Linens: Not provided. Bring linens or sleeping bag, pillow, pillowcase, and a towel
  • Air Conditioning: Yes, each room has A/C

OVERNIGHT INFORMATION

  • Check-in: First Day between 1:00pm-2:30pm
  • Check out: Last day at 12:00pm
  • Meals: Day 1: Dinner | Days 2-5: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner | Day 6: Breakfast
  • A closing ceremony will take place approximately 30 minutes prior to camp check-out on the last day. Parents are invited to attend! Departure immediately follows the closing ceremony.

    • First Day: 2:00-2:30pm
    • Last Day: 12:00pm
  • Meals: Lunch & Dinner is provided for Extended Day Campers

INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT, & FACILITY

  • Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital

TEAM DISCOUNT

If you have a group of 4 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $25 discount. If you have a group of 8 or more campers registering for the same camp, each camper is eligible for a $30 discount. Please fill out the Team Discount – Soccer form with the name of your group and the names of each camper enrolling in the camp and we will create a unique discount code for your group.

TRANSPORTATION

Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

MEDICAL PROTOCOL

Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
